そのネーミングに、プロデューサーやスタッフは猛反発して取り下げを求めた。（プロデューサーにいたっては「みっともない！」と怒った）しかしこれに同調するものもおり、現場では後にラブラブ論争と呼ばれるほどの議論が起こった。

結果、これを考案した今川は「これを越えるネーミングを考えられたら譲る」と譲歩した。だが、キャラデザの逢坂浩司を初めとするスタッフの誰もがこのネーミングを越える代案を作り出すことが出来ず、降参。

晴れてこの技は世に出ることとなった。
